Since joining the firm in 2017, as member of different practice groups, Steffany has provided comprehensive legal advice in respect of the structuring and negotiation of transactions for the financing of infrastructure projects, other financing transactions and mergers and acquisitions of national and international companies. She advises companies from the real and financial sectors on routine corporate and regulatory matters.

Steffany provides legal support for structuring highly complex legal schemes and has provided advice to national and international sponsors in the development of the 4G road infrastructure program.

Currently, she is professor of Commercial and Financial Institutions class at Universidad del Rosario. Additionally, she leads academic and legal research initiatives.

  • Lawyer graduated from the School of Law of Universidad del Rosario (2016), with an emphasis in international law. Specialist in financial law from the same school of law (2018). Earned and held a scholarship during the entire law program for outstanding academic performance. Won the Carlos Alzate award for excellence granted by Universidad del Rosario. Earned a special honor recognition for best administrative performance at the school of law pro-bono legal work office. 

  • Steffany provide advice to concessionaires, their shareholders and contractors for the obtention of medium and long-term financing for 4G highway concession projects. Additionally, she supported one of the prequalified teams for the Bogotá subway project, helping them to structure the engineering, construction, operation and maintenance agreements for the project. Steffany provided advice in the implementation of a guarantee scheme for structuring an association between a recognized Colombian real estate company and a family subsidy fund for the development of real estate projects.

    Likewise, she support the structuring, constitution and obtention of debt resources of certain private equity funds. She advise financial institutions regarding the identification of risks in the execution of national and international investments, queries about regulatory matters and related to the corporate governance of such entities.

    On the other hand, she lead several due diligence processes and the execution of transactions to acquire substantial assets in the hydrocarbons, gas, power and recycling sectors. Lastly, she advise various clients in corporate law matters, including providing support to clients before surveillance entities for the obtention of authorizations to perform business reorganization operations.

  • 2016. Member of the legal team of Unión Para la Infrastructura S.A.S – Professional Manager of the Infrastructure Private Debt Compartment I of the Credicorp Capital – Sura Asset Management 4G Private Equity Fund. She provided legal advice for the financing of road infrastructure projects carried out under the 4G APP (Public Private Association) scheme.

She has also advised financial institutions regarding the identification of risks in the execution of national and international investments, queries about equity requirements and the corporate governance of such entities.

    On the other hand, she has been the lead lawyer in several due diligence processes and the execution of the related transactions to acquire substantial assets in the hydrocarbons, gas, power and recycling sectors. Lastly, she has also advised various clients in corporate law matters and the carrying out of operations, including providing support to clients in authorization procedures before the corresponding inspection, surveillance and control entities.
